   Superelasticity refers to the phenomenon where, within a certain range of deformation, stress does not increase as strain rises. In the former, the stress-strain curve approximates a linear relationship, while nonlinear superelasticity arises from stress-induced martensitic phase transformations and their reverse transitions during loading and unloading within a specific temperature range above the Af temperature. Consequently, nonlinear superelasticity is also known as pseudoelasticity due to these phase transformation behaviors.

   4. Resistive properties: During deformation, the electrical resistance of martensitic Ni-Ti shape-memory alloys exhibits a linear relationship with strain. When a phase transformation occurs, the slope of the curve decreases—but remains linear both before and after the martensitic phase transition.
